The Indiana-based Hell Came Home were very surprised to find themselves climbing the charts on reverb nation and gaining so many likes on Facebook so quickly: it made them stop in their collective tracks. This band of musical hell raisers and their neo 90’s power groove sound have been building a killer buzz in their region and beyond.
Hell Came Home started in 2013 when [ guitarist / songwriter Reed Thomas ] got together with [ vocalist / songwriter Danny Dunn ] , with what they both call “a desire to write what we want to hear”. They began recording in Danny’s home studio when Reed said “it all just seemed to click”, they had something and they knew it.
Hell Came Home were soon joined by [ drummer / Nathan Richardson ] , [ bassist / Andrew Christman ] & [ guitarist / Jeremy Starkey ] , who all added so much power to the project it took on a life of its own. “We feel we have a 90’s era power groove like Pantera, and we mixed it with the new age of metal” said Reed. “This combination works”.
The band has been living up to their “Must see live show” reputation! They have their eye on a winter release and hitting the road according to Reed – “We love what we do, and we work hard to do it, we just want to get out there and play”. With the album all but complete and one waiting in the wings, “we’re ready to get back to what it’s all about, the live show and the fans.”
So what it’s all about is this, “we’re meant to be doing this, I feel that in my soul. We share a message in our music to stand tall, don’t be pushed around, don’t be a follower, and be a leader, in doing so we are leading.” says Reed. “We hear so many people younger and older who say this is the kind of music they love. How do you go wrong with that.”?
